YLA Summer Camp
Our Learning Center Summer Camp Program enables SVS to provide a safe, nurturing platform from which our young people can hone their learning skills, discover new interests and talents, and form lasting bonds with other foster care youngsters who have faced formidable difficulties in their path toward adulthood.
Through this dynamic summer learning experience, SVS helps these vulnerable young learners to “recharge their batteries” while preparing them for continued academic success when they return to school in the fall. These enthusiastic youngsters come together from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. each day for six weeks for a full day of programs designed to support both academic and social learning.
Every day our campers are provided with a nutritious breakfast and lunch, along with healthy snacks and drinks. 
The Learning Center Summer Camp is without a doubt a high point in the lives of the children we serve, providing them with a rich experience that supports their continued learning and growth, sparks their creativity, and fosters their healthy development throughout the academic year.

Study Shows SVS Youth Thrive as Young Adults
One of the first outside research studies ever done of any foster care program showed that SVS American Dream graduates out-performed both other children of foster care and a random sample of American youth. SVS President & CEO Msgr. Robert Harris said, "We were so thrilled to see the results of this study, which confirmed what we already know-SVS does a good job preparing our kids to be successful, mature, happy, and productive adults."
