Success Story

success story When Johnny was 14, he came to us from a very poor family. His mother was on drugs, and he was often left home alone. To survive, he borrowed food from his neighbors, but he often went to bed hungry. One day, Johnny's mother left and never came back. After a few months, Johnny came home to an eviction notice and a padlock on his door. That's when the city placed him with us.

We Met the Match!!!

Thanks to all of our generous donors, we have successfully reached our goal of raising $20,000 to help support the activities provided by our Ethics Awareness Initiative (see below). Because of your tremendous generosity, this amount will be doubled by The Raskob Foundation–essentially giving us $40,000 total to fund this vital initiative.

We still need your help!

Although we have "Met the Match," donations are still needed to ensure the long-term viability of this dynamic program. Please visit our Donate NOW page to show your support for our Ethics Awareness Initiative.

The Ethics Awareness Project

Do you remember who taught you right from wrong? For most people, it was their parents. But for some kids, we are their only family. That's why we created the new Ethics Awareness Project to teach SVS children the Golden Rule.
